Biography
Sam first arrived at Keele in 2005 to study a dual honours degree in Chemistry with Applied Environmental Science. She graduated with a first class degree and also achieved a certificate of competence in Japanese. Following this Sam completed a PhD in chemistry, supervised by Prof. Chris Exley, looking at the use of silicic acid-rich mineral water in reducing aluminium body burden in different groups of individuals. Sam has since completed a PGCE in secondary science at the University of Wolverhampton. She returned to Keele to join the Foundation Year as a Teaching Fellow and Academic Mentor in 2015, and is currently working towards a MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
