Introducing The National Tree Map!
This detailed dataset, which is included in Digimap's web-based service of digital map data and high-quality cartographic products, is a unique and comprehensive database of the location, height and canopy/crown extents of every tree 3m and above in height across the whole of Great Britain.
The National Tree Map's innovative processing techniques incorporates high resolution national aerial photography and colour infrared imagery along with accurate terrain and surface data, which you can use to locate and identify our 150 plus species of trees on campus!
The application and industries for The National Tree Map includes:
Forestry and tree management
Air quality management
Utility, energy, and transport infrastructure
For access, please select 'log in' and search for 'Keele University' and login with your Keele username and password. Once logged in, you will be required to sign up for a personal account to use Digimap.
Digimap can also be accessed via the library's A-Z online resources.
